TPA Endorses Republican Study Committee Budget

Today, the Republican Study Committee (RSC) released its annual budget for fiscal year (FY) 2024. The Taxpayers Protection Alliance (TPA) is pleased to endorse the RSC’s budget proposal which not only balances the budget, but also provides commonsense ideas to rein in the weaponization of the administrative state, establish American energy independence, implements tax cuts, and much more fiscal sanity.

TPA’s Consumer Center Staves Off Flavored Vape Bans in Eight States in 2023

Despite many other pressing fiscal issues facing Americans in 2023, lawmakers from more than half a dozen states attempted to address the so-called youth vaping epidemic by introducing legislation that would ban the sale of flavored e-cigarettes. Such proposals were unjustified by the data and would have dramatically reduced adult access to life-saving products for those looking to reduce or eliminate their consumption of traditional tobacco products.

House Committee Takes Up Three Critical Tax Relief Bills

Three bills will be marked up in the House Ways and Means Committee tomorrow. The bills – H.R. 3936, the Tax Cuts for Working Families Act, H.R. 3937, the Small Business Jobs Act, and H.R. 3938, the Build it in America Act – will promote a more efficient tax code, relief for small businesses, and more American innovation.

Op-Ed: It’s Time to Bring NASA’s Moon Mission Budget Back to Earth

The nebulous nebula that is Congress cannot escape from a vast black hole of wasteful spending. The debt ceiling debacle demonstrated that lawmakers are light-years away from sustainable spending reforms. One problem is that agencies, such as the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), have had a veritable blank check to waste taxpayer dollars as they see fit.
