TPA Submits Comments to CMS on the Physician Fee Schedule Proposed Rule

This week TPA submitted comments to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) regarding the agency’s calendar year 2023 Physician Fee Schedule (PFS) proposed rule. TPA’s concerns mainly focus on payment rate adjustments, CMS’ reluctance to make telehealth changes permanent, and the agency’s lack of adherence to its own average sales price framework.

August 31, 2022, marks the 21st anniversary of International Overdose Awareness Day. This year, the day could not be more relevant because in 2021 more than 107,000 Americans died from a drug overdose. Every day, more than 100 Americans succumb to a fatal overdose, many of them youth, and many of them are unaware that a one-time experimentation could be their last.
