TPA Submits Comments to NTIA About Kids Online Health and Safety

Last week, the Taxpayers Protection Alliance (TPA) weighed in on the National Telecommunications and Information Administration’s (NTIA) Request for Comment on Kids Online Health and Safety. TPA argued that regulators must remain cognizant not just of the challenges minors face on the internet, but also the myriad of benefits they find there. While some say that online platforms have been definitively proven to be the primary cause of declining mental health among American youth, the actual data are far more complex, and the problem likely involves many offline factors. TPA also emphasized the importance of the secure platforms and the many existing child-safety features, which protect young users’ privacy and help parents responsibly manage their children’s online lives.
