TPA Submits Comments on the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act

On Monday, the Taxpayers Protection Alliance (TPA) weighed in on the Federal Trade Commission’s proposed updates subject to the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act. In its comments, TPA asked the agency to reconsider provisions that would encourage online platforms to collect and pool sensitive personal data for the purposes of age verification. Further, TPA urged the FTC to clarify proposed language to ensure that platforms can clearly discern, and comply with, the requirements regulators place on them.
