Today, the Taxpayers Protection Alliance (TPA) launched a major campaign in Arizona thanking Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) for her unwavering support of Arizona small business and entrepreneurs through her opposition to raising taxes on carried interest capital gains during a recession. The campaign consists of the launch of NoInvestmentTax.org, full-page advertisements in the Arizona Republic and Arizona Daily Star, 13 billboards in the Phoenix metro area, and extensive television and radio advertising.

David Williams, President of TPA, offered the following statement:

“Our message to Senator Sinema in this campaign is clear: thank you for opposing this crippling, $14 billion tax on Arizona small businesses and entrepreneurs.” It is unconscionable that senators Joe Manchin (D-W.VA.) and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) are attempting to raise taxes during a recession and historic inflation, yet that is exactly what the ‘Inflation Reduction Act’ would do. On behalf of taxpayers and consumers, TPA is grateful for Sen. Sinema’s independence and pro-taxpayer and pro-small business stance on carried interest. We will bring our message straight to Arizonans until this tax hike is dead.”

TPA’s campaign kicked off on Sunday, July 31, with full-page newspaper advertisements in the Arizona Republic and Arizona Daily Star:

Today, TPA is launching 13 billboards in the Phoenix metro area and will continue the campaign with TV and radio advertising over the next 1-2 weeks.
