Washington, D.C. – The Taxpayers Protection Alliance (TPA) called for Baltimore City Council President, Nick Mosby, to resign from his position in light of recent news regarding his federal tax issues.
In response, David Williams, TPA President, offered the following statement:
“With the recent sworn affidavit from Nick Mosby admitting blame for he and his wife’s federal tax issues, Mosby should resign from his position as Baltimore City Council President.
“In his role as City Council President and Chair of the Board of Estimates, it is paramount that the people of Baltimore have a City Council President who is fiscally responsible and using hard-earned taxpayer dollars for the betterment of their city.
“Being in a position of power means the necessity to make sound financial decisions and the need for accountability. Nick Mosby is not suited for this job. Baltimore taxpayers and citizens deserve better.”
