Taxpayers Group Applauds Leader McCarthy and Representatives Jordan and Issa

Washington, D.C. – The Taxpayers Protection Alliance (TPA) is encouraged by Leader Kevin McCarthy, Representative Jim Jordan, and Representative Darrell Issa’s principled stances against big government solutions in the tech sector. It’s encouraging to see Republican leaders return to their small government, pro-market roots. TPA is hopeful more on the right will join them in opposing needless regulations that harm consumers and taxpayers. 

TPA VP of Policy Patrick Hedger offered the following comment:

“It’s refreshing to see leading Republicans waking up to the fact that empowering government to hamstring the economy won’t create the competition and dynamism necessary to protect Americans from potential harms in the tech sector. They’re right to stick to the principles of limited government and free markets, even in the face of the most difficult challenges, and not hand a regulatory bazooka to an administrative state controlled by big-government progressives.”
