Today, the Taxpayers Protection Alliance sent a letter to the House GOP in support of a conference amendment offered by Rep. Tom McClintock (R-CA), which would ban the practice of earmarks in the 118th Congress. Earmarks, also known as pork-barrel spending, are both fiscally irresponsible and ethically dubious. We hope that Republican members will vote against restoring the practice in the new Congress.
