TPA Urges Opposition to HB 293: Unconstitutional Device Filter Bill Threatens Free Speech

The Taxpayers Protection Alliance (TPA) sent an updated letter to the New Hampshire House Judiciary Committee encouraging the opposition of HB 293. This bill would require handheld electronic devices to come with a preconfigured filter that would block protected speech, making it unconstitutional. While the bill is intended to prevent minors from interacting with illicit content, it will ultimately do more harm than good and is unconstitutional.
