TPA Submits Comments to Federal Reserve on Proposed Regulatory Changes to Debit Card Interchange Fees

Yesterday, the Taxpayers Protection Alliance (TPA) submitted comments to the Federal Reserve’s proposed updates to debit card interchange fee rate caps. TPA urged the agency to reconsider its proposed caps, which amount to price controls, to ensure Americans continue to have access to quality financial services. TPA also cautioned against ignoring the history of the Durbin Amendment and removing public input from future adjustments.
