TPA Submits Comments to FCC on Proposed AI Disclosure

Today, the Taxpayers Protection Alliance (TPA) submitted comments to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC)’s proceeding to require disclosures for political advertising created with the help of artificial intelligence (AI). TPA urged the FCC to reconsider its proposal, suggesting that the agency had overstepped its statutory authorities. TPA also argued that AI-generated and -edited communications should not be singled out. Regulators should adopt a more technology-neutral posture to address the larger problem of deceptive political advertising.
