TPA Joins Coalition Letter Urging House to Oppose Sunset of Section 230

On Tuesday, the Taxpayers Protection Alliance joined a coalition of 15 organizations opposing the “Section 230 Sunset Act,” a reckless proposal that would significantly curtail Americans’ access to online speech. As the coalition noted in a letter to the House Energy and Commerce Committee, Section 230 has stimulated billions of dollars of wealth creation, strengthened America’s international leadership in tech, and fostered a vast online ecosystem of platforms that facilitate free speech and the free flow of information. Repealing the law will have wide-ranging consequences for American users and businesses — and none of them good.
