Taxpayer Watchdog Urges Congress to Oppose Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2022

On behalf of the millions of taxpayers and consumers we represent, the Taxpayers Protection Alliance (TPA) sent a letter urging members of Congress to oppose H.R. 2471, the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2022. This bill is the epitome of the federal government’s reckless spending habits and opaque governance. H.R. 2471 provides a six percent increase in spending compared to last year, at a time where inflation and the nation’s deficit are at all-time highs. In addition to reckless spending, the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2022 would embolden the IRS and undermine harm reduction efforts hurting both taxpayers and consumers.
